College and Career
"By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples." -John 15:8
Nik and Rachel Brownell lead the College and Career group, which is for college students and anyone in that general age bracket. This multi-faceted ministry seeks to train and affirm these adults into becoming active church members and tomorrow's church leaders who excitedly reach out to other students with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Sunday School
The College and Career Sunday School meets every Sunday in the Fellowship Hall from 8:45am to 9:45am. We are currently doing a study on Tim Keller's "The Reason for God," discussing how the Bible and logic respond to skeptic arguments against God. This class uses lecture and discussion to fully flush out the meaning and application of 1 Peter.
Monthly Events
In addition to our time to grow together and our time to reach out to others, we also need some time to just hang out and enjoy each other. During the school year, we meet together every fourth Tuesday of the month for College and Career dinner night at the California Baptist University cafeteria at 5:00pm. While this is a great chance to get to know each other better, it is equally important that we are in fellowship with our entire local body, so the second Sunday of every month we stay after church of a huge lunch with other groups at FBCN. We also have random monthly fun nights the third weekend of every month, which might be a beach trip, game night, a night of extreme ROCKBAND! (Nik's personal favorite) or whatever else might be suggested.
