Women's Accountability and Encouragement
"Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled." -Titus 2:3-5
Recognizing that "running the race" in order to win the prize requires intentionality and discipline (1 Cor 9:24-25), the Women's A&E groups are structured to provide a venue for goal-setting and encouragement in the pursuit of those goals. Though goal-setting is personal, ladies are encouraged to pursue spiritual disciplines as they are related to us in Scripture. Instruction is given concerning the Scriptures's admonishments to women, and women are given the opportunity to set goals in several areas. They share their goals with a couple of other women in the group and return every two weeks to share how things went! The groups are casual, often filled with laughter, sometimes with tears, as women seek to share their lives together, encouraging each other through triumphs and failures, and above all spurring one another on toward the good works which God has "prepared beforehand that we should walk in them" (Eph 2:10).
There are two groups available to accomodate different schedules: One group meets twice a month Monday nights, and one meets twice a month on Thursday nights. Both groups go from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.
